  • Introduction of Journal of Tea Science

    The Journal of Tea Science was established in August 1964, approved by the Publicity Department, CCCPC. Its title was inscribed by Zhu De, the chairman of CCCPC. It was discontinued during the Cultural Revolution in 1966, and it was reissued in August 1984, approved by the State Scientific and Technological Commission.Academicians Chen Zongmao and Liu Zhonghuaof the Chinese Academy of Engineering served as the directors of the editorial board. The Journal of Tea Science is managed by the China Association for Science and Technology,sponsored by the China Tea Science Society and the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and edited and published by the editorial office of the Journal of Tea Science. It is the only one of Chinese core journals in the field of tea science that is included in the core library of the Chinese Science Citation Database.Its Domestic Unified Serial Number is CN 33-1115/S, its International Standard Serial Number is ISSN 1000-369X and its International publication name code is CODEN-CHKEF4. At present, the Journal of Tea Science is a bimonthly publication, published in the middle of the month, with a book size of 16.

    The Journal of Tea Science is an academic journal in tea science, which can reflect the level and the development trend of tea science. Since 1989, the Journal of Tea Science has been repeatedly rated as an excellent academic journal by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the China Association of Agricultural Science Societies. Since 2005, the Journal of Tea Science has successively won the first prize of the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Journals of the Zhejiang Provincial Society of Editology for Scientific and Technological Periodicals. In 2016, the Journal of Tea Science was awarded the special prize of the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Journals. In 2015, the Journal of Tea Science was supported by the Project of Excellent Sci-tech Journals of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (2015-2017), and the academic quality of the journal was improved. In the 2016 annual check and review carried out by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Journal of Tea Science was awarded the title of Excellent Grade Periodical Publication. In 2012, the Journal of Tea Science was included in the China Biology Medicine disc (CBMdisc) in the China Biomedical Literature Service System (SinoMed). In 2014, it was rated as the Core Journal in China Agriculture and included in Chinese agricultural core periodicals. In 2015, it was rated as RCCSE China's Authoritative Academic Journal (A+) in the A Report on Chinese Academic Journals Evaluation (Wuhan University edition) (2015-2016). At present, the Journal of Tea Science has been included in many well-known domestic and foreign databases such as China Science Citation Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, China Education, Scopus, EBSCO, CABI, FSTA.

    The purposes of the Journal of Tea Scienceare to report on the latest scientific research achievements in tea studies, engage in academic debates, promote academic exchanges, promote the development of tea science, and effectively serve the construction of the national economy. The content includes tea cultivation, breeding, pest and disease control, tea processing, tea biochemistry, tea machinery, tea technical and economy, comprehensive utilization, and medical and health care. The main readers are tea researchers, teachers and students in colleges and universities, tea technicians, tea managers, and decision-makers.
