Abstract: To investigate the diversity of the bacterial communities in stored white peony, 16 S rDNA of bacteria collected from 11 samples of different storage durations were analyzed by high-throughput sequencing. The results show that the species richness and diversity of DB13 were the highest. While in all stored white peony, the dominant phylum were Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes. The dominant class were Alphaproteobacteria, Gamma proteobacteria and Sphingobacteriia. And the dominant bacterial species at genus level include: Sphingomonas, Methylobacterium and Pedobacter. The composition structures of samples were similar, but there was difference in their abundance. Storage duration had no significant effect on the bacteria composition of white peony, but environments played important roles.
